FLatt Pack: A research-focussed lattice design program

Lattice structures are an important aspect of design for additive manufacturing (DfAM). They enable significant component light-weighting and the tailoring a wide range physical responses; mechanical, thermal, acoustic, etc. In turn, lattice relies on fundamental research to uncover useful structure-property relationships, such as influence cell geometry volume fraction. A number commercial computer-aided-design (CAD) programs exist that offer generation, but these tend prioritise product design. This paper describes FLatt Pack program (or Functional Package), which was created address paucity research-focussed software.
